20 New Homes Update

If you can't stand MaryJane Balser/Logan, then you had best quit reading this particular post.
Remember all those twenty houses that are going to be built over by the cemetary? Remember that they were to have an unfinished second floor because of lack of money? Well she has been at it again. Writing grants again, although the Town Manager won't let her write them for the Town anymore because she is so "inept" at it. Anyway, she has come up with enough more money so that all 20 of the houses will now have a completely finished second floor including the bathrooms! This from an incompetent and inept grant writer. Just for this project alone, the total so far comes to about $3.277 million and it is not quite done yet. And the best part of all is that there are NO matching funds required from ANYBODY! That works out to about $164,000 per house.
Over the years she has brought into the coffers of this town over $18 million in various grants for a lot of projects. Yet at the Council meetings she and her ideas are routinely dismissed by Dodge, Savoi, Smith, and Sisto as being of no import and of no substantive good to the town.

When it comes time for us to elect the new Town Council in the fall, let's see if we can remember who it is that has done a lot of VISIBLE good for the Town and it's people. Compare those accomplishments with the output of the rest of this present Council and you will immediately see there is no comparison. TIFN

Let me make sure I got this straight again Everett,

Town Manager= Evil

Mary Jane= A saint

Is that it???

I'm confused at your ambiguity

Right on Everett. That's just what the island needs:20 more houses jammed into a suburban complex. Great for selling more LP gas and groceries, not so great for the mythic image of an island of fisher folk and far flung cottages lightly sprinkled over rolling farmland. And if it takes a clever grant writer to bnend the facts to glean monies intended for the truly needy mired in mainland ghettos, we've certainly got a winner who knows on which side out bread is buttered on -- and where we are liable to go to buy it.
