EYEBALLS!!

Well it has been over a month since last post, but all there is to bitch about is obamaroid and I think everyone knows how I feel about that turd and what he is doing to this country. So I'll skip ragging on him and go somewhere else.

Lets see, I went off Island a week ago today and had a cataract removed from the right eye last Monday. When I finally got into the operating room and watched the beginning of the process, I disappeared down this long tunnel lit with green, red, and blue lights. By the time I reached the end of it and became aware of where I was, a total of 14 minutes had elapsed!!!

The old fuzzy cataract was gone and in its place was a brandy new lens implanted in the eye, and with which, one week later I can see for distance like when I was a Kid! I think! I've been wearing glasses since I was ten years old!!

I go back this coming thursday for a checkup and to schedule the same operation on the left ocular device.

So while I am here, are any of you folks who read this irregular post, doing anything in the way of making you and your family ready for when TSHTF? Just wondering as a lot of things are already becoming hard to find. Checked out the escalation of the food prices lately? Been off a few times in the last two months and have noticed that in Shaws and S&S that the shelves have big empty spaces where they never were before. The food right on the front edge of the shelves were backed up with reserve stuff right to the back of the shelf. Not so with a lot of things now. A couple of cans/bottles deep and nothing behind. Hope all have been putting a few things by. Am I a crazy right wing, Tea (bagger) party believing, gun toting, 2nd Amendment, ,pack-ratting, nutcase? So Sarah would say,"You Betcha"! TIFN

Glad you got you peepers retreaded, should be good for another 60,000 miles!

As to the grocery stores, I can't figure that one. We had a bad freeze down south and some fresh veggies went up 50%, but we had other foods stocked up good.

Got my "Liberty garden" replanted after that unusual ice storm down here. Broccoli and snap peas made it through great, working on tomatoes and the rest again. Wish I had a whole acre and a small tractor now!

p.s., lost 3/4 of my plummies, DRAT.

Glad to hear the operation was successful Ev, you may 'need' to be able to see again to hunt your own food if things keep going like they are... Stores down here are not much better.

Hi guys, Well I'm pretty sure I could sit out anything coming as I have been a prepper for the last six or seven years and have enough to keep my total family fed for at least 3 years. Meat is on the hoof around here for the taking. Mucho Deer!
Just ordered an FNH SCAR-17H in 308 Win. for $3500+ but it will be quite a while coming I fear. But now with the "veil of gauze" gone from my shooting eye, I might be able to hit the side of a barn again!

Other eye is on for the 18th of this month. Cannot hardly wait for the day. It s totally amazing the things I can see without having my nose pushed up against them.

Best of luck to you guys and your families during the coming"troubles".

Good news Ev, and that IS a nice piece you've got on order. I'm torn between that and the LMT AR frame .308 the Brits are buying.

Yeah man, I didn't even know about the Brits and their choice until yesterday afternoon! But i guess I'm going to stay with the SCAR 17. I can pick off those "invaders" as they are coming out of the water. LOL

Going over to America domani for the pre-op consult on the last eye on the 18th. after wearing specs for 63 0f my 73, I'll be running around with a naked face scaring all the kids!

Are you headed back to Nippon anytime soon? Good luck and stay away from sperm killers!!!
