Hi All, In the last previous post I said that I was going to have a rebuttal to each of Mr. Smiths points in his letter. I do have one for each, but after talking witha couple of people involved with the West Side plan, it seems that most all of the salient points have been addressed to all those concerneds(sp,use?) satisfaction. So in the best interests of the project going forward without any more setbacks or delays, I am going to drop persuing this whole line of inquiry. Now some of you are going to say that I am chickening out and that may be. BUT! I don't want to be the one that keeps all these twenty families from getting a home!
I only have one other thing to say, and that is that Mr.Smith does not have the intrests of the lower, lower-middleclass people of the Island as his first or even second priority! Enough said!! TIFN Everett

Ya know...there aren't a lot of people who would be able to walk away from this one even for the greater good.
I think you did the right thing and I hope others benefit from your example.
Hmmm...I didn't mean to hit 'me' as my identity. I didn't even know I could do that...what does this button do?
If the issues have been worked out you are definately right in not inflaming the issue. I am glad people realize the other side of him has come out. He really seems misinformed.

Why don't you make one about the evil business people who have the nerve to try and make money out here on BI. Just who do they think they are?

Hi all, I have to say that this blog has been the furthest thing from my mind in the last week or so. I have been contending with an impending colonoscopy which went fine, no problems, and trying to rid myself of a few minor problems in the form of 13mm and 8mm kidney stones that love me so much they won't pass. So between being all doped out of my mind and screaming and writhing about quite a lot, I have been without any desire to screw with the blog. Wenesday about three in the afternoon, I'm to have a "sonic boom in the bath tub" that will hopefully put a few of the 14 stones into the sewer system for good. I'll be back when the keyboard quits shifting about! TIFN Everett
Remember when the B-52's would go overhead and all us school kids had to get under the desk in the position - and the sonic boom that followed?
Naw, it was just another ole man passing a kidney stone! Now we know!
